Hello, my name is Halley Byrne. I’ve been a part of the Lavender Day Spa reception team for over 5 years now, and really consider the spa and its people to be an extension of my home and family.  I also work at our local animal shelter, and before I worked for them I was a volunteer. Being with and helping animals has become a great passion in my life, perhaps my greatest passion.  Anytime I earn an animal’s trust and affection, it’s the greatest feeling because the bond you share with them is usually so much more pure than a bond between humans. Animals are very straightforward, honest, and open, while people are naturally complex and contradictory. The honesty that’s innate in animals is refreshing and endearing.
I have a natural inclination towards care-giving & nurturing roles, probably because I had such a strong example of that kind of selfless giving in my own family growing up. I think that inclination is what drew me to working in a spa as well as with animals, because both are very nurturing environments.
